Washing
Do not wash your hair for at least 48 hours after your fitting. This allows your bonds to set properly. If the hair is washed sooner than this it can cause the bonds to weaken, soften and even fall out.
Your extensions can be washed as often as you would wash your natural hair but as with your own hair, the less drying with heat the better. We do sell shampoo and conditioner especially for hair extensions if required. This is not essential but will prolong the life of your extensions. Leave-in conditioner is great when brushing through wet extensions.
Brushing
You will need to brush your extensions regularly every day to prevent tangling. A soft bristle brush is good for this but I would recommend using a Tangle Teezer as they brush right over the bonds without damaging them. We do sell these and you can purchase one at your fitting. You should never use a ball tipped or hard plastic brush as this will damage your bonds and possibly pull your extensions out. This is very important - if you choose not to follow this advice we cannot be responsible for the damage you may cause to the extensions or your own hair.

Styling
Your extensions are Grade A human hair. This means they can be treated exactly as you would your own hair. They can be straightened, curled, blow dried, cut, coloured and anything else that takes your fancy. When straightening it is best not to apply heat to your bonds as this could melt them.
General
It is common to lose a few bonds when washing and brushing but this will not show as you will have anywhere from 100 to 300 bonds in your hair. Please do not be tempted to pick your bonds, this will cause them to fall out and may also cause damage to your hair. Your scalp may be a little sore for a couple of days after your fitting, this is completely normal as it is just your scalp adjusting to the weight of the extensions.
